About Us

Send Me Foundation extends a hand to those in need, restores hope, and empowers individuals to succeed.

Our Founders.

Send ME Foundation envisions and fosters a community where serving others becomes a part of a fundamental value. Send ME Foundation is a 501 c3 non-profit organization that was founded in 2008 by two sisters, Celeste “Kuri” Lopez and Denise Torre. Send ME Foundation is proud to collaborate with different causes, families and individuals from our community, as well as with businesses and schools in the San Diego area.

The two sisters were inspired by their brother Oscar. Oscar is disabled, and throughout his life he was in and out of hospitals with numerous brain tumors, surgeries, hip replacement, and strokes. During his life, he lived in a lot of pain and suffering; however, he never complained or questioned why he was living under these circumstances. Instead, he always thanked God that it was he who was undergoing such challenges and not his family or friends.

His disability made it extremely difficult to provide financially for his family. Denise and Celeste, along with some family and friends, decided to help Oscar, raising enough funds to move his family to a new place they would call their home. With the money raised, they were able to supplement Oscar’s rent for two years, and give them a complete home makeover experience, helping improve their living conditions. That experience changed the sisters forever. They have been motivated since. Their mission started out as a dream, it became their purpose. After many years of battling  such challeges, Oscar passed away on November 2014.

Since helping their brother in 2006, Send ME Foundation branched out and has helped in many different area. Celeste and Denise, together with their talented team and the many volunteers have had the privilege of blessing others by presenting other home makeovers to families who have a child with a life threatening illness, gifting baby nurseries to military families, supplying daily essentials to orphanages, hospices, victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse, elderly care, homelessness, and the rescued victims of sex trafficking.

Send ME Foundations believes that teaching younger generations the power of love through giving, is essential to our world.
